About the Department
The Department of Biotechnology was started in 2002 as an Unaided department under University of Mumbai. The department offers both B.Sc. (Biotechnology – By Papers) and M.Sc. (Biotechnology – By papers) under NEP pattern. It operates with 10 full -time highly qualified faculty members and 7 non-teaching staff members. There are 2 fully equipped biotechnology labs (1 UG & 1 PG) as well as several ICT – enabled classrooms. The department has a strong culture of research and innovation with faculty members and students contributing to indexed peer-reviewed journals every year.
