About
The green club is a joint initiative of Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra and UNICEF Maharashtra with Technical support from YEWS. It was established on August 30, 2024 at G N Khalsa College, Matunga, Mumbai.
The formation of Green club is primarily to focus on the activities to nurture an environment-friendly approach and to promote sustainability. Under this club, the aim is to empower students to participate in meaningful activities addressing environmental issues and practicable solutions.
The structure of the Green Club is as follows: Faculty Convenor of college: Dr. Gopa Sarma, Faculty coordinator: Dr. Parul Khurana, Green club President: Mr. Farman Hussain.

Objectives
- To bring awareness in the students for being tomorrow’s citizen with environment responsibility.
- To inculcate ethical obligation to protect environment amongst the youth.
- To promote eco-friendly practices.
- To develop leadership qualities amongst students by letting them be a part of environment related activities and campaign.
