Real education enhances the dignity of a human being and increases his or her self-respect. If only the real sense of education could be realized by each individual and carried forward in every field of human activity, the world will be so much a better place to live in.
APJ Abdul Kalam has rightly said, and I completely believe that education is not just a resource for imparting knowledge, it creates and augments the overall personality of an individual. From its inception Guru Nanak Khalsa College has imbibed on the teachings of Guru Nanak Devji and the dream of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and has walked the way with extreme zeal and motivation. Recently, with the introduction and implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) there has been significant changes in the Indian education system which will augment holistic changes and multidisciplinary skill enhancement. The Indian Knowledge System has been an integral part of our institution from the time of its commencement and now this traditional culture will be enriched with the implementation of the new education system. It will undoubtedly enhance cultural heritage, thus creating a positive impact on the progression of the society.
I am happy and proud to mention that our college, which is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, has acquired the Autonomous status, and accredited by NAAC with ‘A+’ grade and a CGPA of 3.54. I feel pleased and honored to acknowledge that our college has not only achieved excellence in sports but also received various academic grants like RUSA, CPE, FIST and have been awarded with STAR College status. With the motto of empowering our institution further, I believe that students can improve their industry-academia qualifications by working under these schemes and taking guidance from our highly qualified staff. We have good infrastructure facilities as well as excellent research culture in our institution which will benefit the students. New courses, innovative assignments, seminars and workshops, various tie-ups with industry and academia and different projects are all lined up for the advantage of the students and the enrichment of the college. Wishing everyone a prosperous and promising future – we continue the journey of excellence.
