The Department of FYIC functions as an interdisciplinary hub that integrates chemistry, biology, computation and related sciences with a strong focus on skill-based and application-oriented learning. The curriculum promotes active learning through regular student presentations, case studies, group discussions and continuous assessment, while students also undertake internships, industry-oriented research projects and innovation-driven activities that enhance their academic and professional readiness. The department has a qualified and student-centric faculty team that mentors learners in both coursework and research, ensuring rigorous academic standards, personalised guidance and a supportive learning environment. Experiential learning is further strengthened through annual industry visits and structured interactions with at least two industry experts each semester, providing exposure to emerging trends, career pathways and real-world challenges; annual Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) meetings sustain constructive engagement with parents.
